Geraldton Fishermen’s Co-operative Ltd

Geraldton Fishermen’s Co-operative (GFC) was formed in 1950 by a group of fishers who wanted to take control of their own supply chain. Today, GFC continues to be proudly fisher owned and controlled and has grown to represent 70% of Australia’s most valuable wild-caught fishery, Western Rock Lobster. This equates to nearly 50% of Australia’s total rock lobster exports. GFC’s Member shareholders are family-owned fishing businesses that are spread over 1,000 kilometres of the Western Australian coast.
